About a week ago, Microsoft launched an initiative to help 25 million people worldwide acquire the digital skills needed to thrive in the new normal and amidst COVID 19. The initiative is poised to bring together every part of Microsoft while combining existing and new resources from LinkedIn and GitHub which  will be grounded in three areas of activity:

  1. The use of data to identify in-demand jobs and the skills needed to fill them;

  2. Free access to learning paths and content to help people develop the skills these positions require:

  3. Low-cost certifications and free job-seeking tools to help people who develop these skills pursue new jobs.

This comprehensive technology initiative will be built on data and digital technology. Using the first element, from the Linkedin Economic Graph which is a digital representation of the global economy based on more than 690 million professionals, 50 million companies, 11 million job listings, 36,000 defined skills, and 90,000 schools: they were able to identify 10 high in demand Jobs.

Despite the massive loss of jobs due to COVID 19 estimated to about 1 billion people worldwide, these 10 jobs were identified as having the highest number of job openings, paying a livable wage and which will continue to grow and you can learn them for free online LinkedIn Learning.
